Eating is the hobby of most Filipinos Eating more than 3 times a day including breakfast, snacks or “merienda”, lunch, another “merienda’, dinner and sometimes late snacks proves that we live in a nation of good eats. Even though you only have few pesos, you can still have your meal in just buying street foods that can fill your empty stomach.
Here in Albay, there is a famous place where you can eat street foods without a hassle. It is dubbed by Albayanos as the Hepa Street. When the clock strike at six, vendors are assembling their stalls to cater their specialties of different kinds of treats “We [Tabaqueños] did not seek for recognition. We are capable of heroism for love and freedom of our land; even if it means dying and giving up our own life,” quoted City Tourism Officer Eric Valeriano.
Known as the city of love and the “Sikad-sikad Capital,” Tabaco City is also known for its rich cultural heritages, historic landmarks and for its peace-loving and warm people. As the city embarks on its mission to spread Tabaco-ingenuity, a small part of its history unfolds. Are you the typical person that goes to work every day and after the busy eight hours of sitting in the office you get home right after? Well we’re the same, and we do have the same routine every day. We work, and we actually work harder to achieve some of our personal goals, material things and the like that makes us feel contented at the end of the day, but have you ever asked yourself on the benefits of going to a place you’re unfamiliar with at least once a year?
Travelling is the highest form of entertaining yourself, I mean it’s the ultimate form of pleasure that you can give to yourself. It’s the multi-vitamin that you can give to your soul and the best form of relaxation that you can give to your mind. At some point like those who loved to go on a hike, traveling is also a good form of sports that can build and help our muscle to grow stronger and bolder. |
