Eating is the hobby of most Filipinos Eating more than 3 times a day including breakfast, snacks or “merienda”, lunch, another “merienda’, dinner and sometimes late snacks proves that we live in a nation of good eats. Even though you only have few pesos, you can still have your meal in just buying street foods that can fill your empty stomach.
Here in Albay, there is a famous place where you can eat street foods without a hassle. It is dubbed by Albayanos as the Hepa Street. When the clock strike at six, vendors are assembling their stalls to cater their specialties of different kinds of treats

Kwek kwek (a delicacy made from either chicken or duck eggs which are coated in an orangey mixture), fish balls, squid balls, bopis, isaw (grilled chicken intestine), helmet (grilled chicken head), barbeque, balut (fertilized duck or chicken egg with a nearly developed embryo inside, boiled and eaten in its shells), roasted peanuts, goto (rice soup with rabut, chicharon, egg and other ingredients), palamig (juice with different flavors), and many more. These are just some of the foods that can be bought in Hepa street.
Every night in the city of Legaspi with the lights on the street you can see many people rich or poor, students or workers are unwinding, resting while eating their favorite street foods.
The street became famous because of its uniqueness and the variety of foods that you can eat, whether you are not in the mood just a glimpse of those yummy and colorful foods, your eyes will twinkle and you will drool out of nowhere. If you are going to compare the street foods in the different part of the Philippines and here in Albay, the foods are more amazing and delicious because its uniqueness seen only in Bicolano delicacies.
