I have been to Luneta and Intramuros for a couple of times but I’ve never heard of this place till the day that I have seen the photo of the late Senator Miriam Santiago and her husband’s wedding photo taken in this place with the hashtag relationship goals (#relationshipgoals) . I was so fascinated by the photo at first glance especially with the background and made some research to where this place is. And upon searching online I have confirmed that this is only one ride if you will be coming from Luneta or Intramuros which I already know for quite some time.
When we speak of the historical landmarks in the City of Manila we always thought of Intramuros, Fort Santiago and Luneta Park these three were among the top-most destination to those who wanted to explore the capital city of the country. Not know to some is that there is this one place that is becoming popular to those who wanted to have a garden-themed wedding, reception and pre-nuptial photos or simply a way to relax and enjoy their weekends and holidays.

"Hinahanap-hanap kita Manila, Ang ingay mong kay sarap sa tenga Mga Jeepney mong nagliliparan, Mga babae mong naggagandahan Take me back in your arms Manila. . .” The city of Manila has always been special to my heart for the fact that I was born in Malate. The nostalgic sound of horning jeepneys and busses seems to be a melody to my ears every day from the time I wake up and ‘til I close my eyes at night. Also the everyday challenge of riding the LRT and MRT which was the easiest mode of transportation in the metro is like a taking a survivor challenge.
When I was in third-year College, I have done my internship in Manila in Intramuros in particular, I am so lucky to have my internship in one of the country’s top publishing company located within the iconic walled city. The whole duration of my internship was so memorable as I’ve learned new things and even improved what I have that time. “It was a double celebration, a family gathering and the 84th birthday celebration of my Lola” At some point I can say that we are lucky enough to have our grandparents still with us at this age, when we were young we call them as our Lola’s and Lolo’s the second parent that spoils us with love and material things that they can give. Now the feeling of running out of time to be with them arises, as one of them just passed away this year, I can barely feel the reality of life, that there are times that we need to say goodbye to some and welcomes the additional members of the family, it hurts to think about it I even thought that this might be the last year we will be with them.
The quotation that I’ve once read online that says, we are so busy growing up yet we often forgets that our parents were also growing old and our grandparents were getting weaker speaks to itself, its self-explanatory we look for opportunities for jobs, careers, education and we also find new friends and colleagues but every time we have a problem and seeking for advice, we oftentimes look for our grandparents to have a heart to heart talk. I remember how my late grandmother told me that she always prays for my safety every time I go to school when I was still in college. “We used to play “lutu-lutuan” using the “coron-coron” when we were young” My mother tells me that when they were young they used to play “lutu-lutuan” using the ‘coron-coron” made of clay. It was actually a kitchen set that kids used to play where they cook rice or even fry a small fish that they catch in the river; it was like a small version of the “coron” or a pot that was used long time ago. Today, you do not see kids play it anymore because nowadays kids used to have plastic kitchen set toys.
“Aside from housing the miraculous patron Saint of Albay, Tiwi also offers a Tiwi is a famous destination for housing the patroness of Albay, nestled in the peaceful barangay of Joroan, the image of Nuestra Señora de Salvacion (Our Lady of Salvation) is been visited by pilgrims and devotees for century now. The miraculous image has been the center of Marian devotion in the province and is been said to be the protector of Joroan from the Moros and invaders long time ago.
